Victor C. Okoro

Victor is a PhD researcher at the University of Otago New Zealand, developing psychological assessment to detect intentions- specifically insider intention to protect or compromise the sensitive information and assets of their employer.

He is investigating how psychometric testing, combined with psychophysiological measures such as reaction time, mouse tracking, and eye tracking, can be used to achieve this goal. While organisations invest heavily in cybersecurity to prevent external threats, insiders (with legitimate access) compromise nearly ten times more information with much fewer breach attempts. Victor’s research takes a novel, proactive approach: objectively discerning intention.
