Michael Broadbent

With almost 30 years’ experience in the Australian & NZ commercial Audio Visual market, I have within that time, spent 10 years as a part owner of a leading Australian system integrator. My roles have comprised senior positions with other leading Integrators and Vendors.
I was appointed to the role of MD of Midwich ANZ in June 2014. Today, I am the Chairperson for Midwich in the APAC Region – Midwich Group is a leading global specialist AV distributor to the trade market.
I started my working life as an apprentice Electrician, I took that fundamental electrical knowledge, coupled with my passion for technology and gained my first ‘AV’ role with Sony Australia …… and I have never looked back.
The AV industry gave me the opportunity to take my career in many directions – from technical installations to sales and product management to Marketing Manager and onto general management.
Apart from my career development, the AV industry also provided me with opportunity to travel the world and be at the forefront of leading technology.
