Data-driven technologies and process optimisation techniques are changing the effectiveness of operations. Machine Learning (AI) and other modern tools are delivering tremendous benefits to organisations to be more effective in Real-Time domains such as Health, Safety, Security, Fire and Traffic (people).
I will present “EDGE INTELLIGENCE” which allows creating smart edge sensor devices that are trained on data at the site to manage the situation at that real-time domain, autonomously. I will provide some examples of project research and implementation in real-time domains, in Australia, particularly relating to large shopping centres, Aged care, and healthcare centres.
Key Takeaways:
• The industry has been driven by physical events “recognised” by sensors that have stayed relatively similar for 40 years or more. This workflow, including the central station process, will be discussed with timings to raise awareness of the status quo. (This process formalises the current analogue operational workflow to build a timed version of the typical workflow used today).
• The “data generating and collection” aspects will be introduced to move the parameters and discussion to the digital domain.
• We shall use an actual field example (one Ollencio chooses) or one “proposed” by a participant to build the data-driven solution, the inference model and the data-driven solution.
