E-LEARNING IN ACTION

The AETM (Association of Educational Technology Managers) is at the vanguard of ICT use in the education sector.  AETM will present cutting-edge examples of audio visual, video conferencing, E-learning, streaming and podcasting technologies at work in Australian universities and TAFE colleges. We look at new learning spaces, new kinds of learning and show how technology enables new-style ‘active learning’. This session will be a real source of inspiration for K-12 educators and ICT managers.

CONNECTED & COLLABORATIVE LEARNING

Glenn McPherson, Cisco’s Education Solutions Manager, will discuss the transformation of learning management systems, and how to build secure collaborative teaching and learning environments. Glenn will cover the benefits of collaborative learning environments and how they can:
  • Add rich interactivity to an online learning environment
  • Provide an environment to easily create multimedia content – lessons and assignments
  • Enrich teaching and learning through innovative use of digital media
  • Provide a set of collaboration tools for dialogue and discussion between students, lecturers, researchers and industry
  • Supports virtual classroom – on campus & remotely
